Pornography is oppressive: Cambridge Union Society debate now available online


The Cambridge Union Society debate on pornography is now available online. Our Senior Partner, Ann Olivarius, spoke in favour of the motion that "pornography is inherently oppressive." Other speakers on her side were Professor Rae Langton from the University of Cambridge and Teresa Baron, sociology student at Selwyn College, Cambridge. Opposing the motion were Jerry Barnett, from the Sex and Censorship campaign, and Cindy Gallop, founder of MakeLoveNotPorn.

44% voted for the proposition, 33% opposed and 23% abstained.
