Our Senior Partner tells Wired.co.uk that abuse against women is nothing new but digital technology is enabling it to occur ‘on an unprecedented scale and in new transformations’.

Dr Olivarius says it is time to stop taking for granted that it is simply endemic to contemporary digital life but instead recognise that it is real, an extension of existing patterns of abusive behaviour in the real world.

 

In late July 2015, McAllister Olivarius sponsored and participated in the Clear Lines Festival, a four-day event of discussions, art and performance exploring themes around sexual abuse, sexual violence and consent. Our Senior Advisor, Halla Gunnarsdóttir, was invited to speak on revenge pornography and online harassment, addressing ways of taking action against it.
