Dr Olivarius quoted in Buzzfeed article about difficulty of firing sexually harassing professors

Buzzfeed wrote an article about the ways in which the university tenure system may shield professors who have sexually harassed or assaulted students.

Originally intended to protect professors from losing their jobs over political reasons or personal disagreements, the tenure system makes it very difficult to fire professors once they have obtained tenure - even if they have abused their students.

Asked about how to solve this problem, Dr Olivarius stated, "Make respecting the law a money-making proposition for schools, another source of revenue, and the rape culture at universities and schools will change and start to disappear."
