Conference Call Help Page

This page provides extra help and instructions on how to use our conference facility (provided by Microsoft Teams). Please navigate to one of the scenarios below, depending on whether you are joining by audio only or by video.

If you are joining by audio only

  • Use your landline or mobile/cellular phone and choose a number to dial from Microsoft’s list of “local numbers” (also included in the invite email). Once connected to the conference facility, enter in the Conference ID included in the invite email; or

  • Join using Microsoft Teams (requires internet connection) by clicking on “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting” in the invite email and then:

    • installing the free Microsoft Teams app on your computer, smartphone or tablet, which will require you to have a free Microsoft email account—if you do not have one, you may wish to create one in advance of the call; or

    • by using Microsoft Teams directly through the web browser (only Chrome, Edge or Firefox are supported at this time) on your computer—this options does not require a Microsoft email account.

If you are joining a video call

This requires you to use the free Microsoft Teams app. You may therefore:

  • If you have the Microsoft Edge browser installed on your computer (other browsers are not currently supported), click on “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting” in the email invitation and then select “Join on the web instead;” or

  • Install the free Microsoft Teams app on your computer, smartphone or tablet, click on “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting” in the email invitation and then join using the app. Please note this option requires you to have a free Microsoft email account—if you do not have one, you may wish to create one in advance of the call
