Discrimination

We have been very interested to learn the findings of the recent survey suggesting that, despite greater or more frequent obstacles, women are less likely to fail in business than men. This is something we have seen with our clients time and time again and yet discrimination against women in the workplace persists.

A new report issued this week by Dr Ros Altmann on behalf of the British government seeks to address the problems faced by older workers. The report, entitled A new vision for older workers: retain, retrain, recruit, outlines the economic and business case for better supporting older workers, and describes many ways to do that.

As a lawyer, I am still representing plenty of women (and some men) whose rights have been violated at college and at work.  And I see that misogyny remains powerful, and adaptive, taking on new forms empowered by improved technology.
